Heroes: A MARVEL-ous Framework for Systems Convening Leadership
Thursday, February 12, 2026, 12:00PM ET

Leadership isn't a solo mission; it thrives on collaboration. Inspired by the Marvel Universe, this session introduces HEROES, a new framework for applying Systems Convening Leadership: Harnessing Strengths, Engaging Networks, Resiliently Leading, Optimizing Impact, Empowering Others, and Strategically Acting. Through this analogy, participants will explore how assembling diverse strengths fosters innovation, collaboration, and success in leadership.

Connected to Lead: Innovation & Impact

Dovetailing with the AACTE Conference theme, the TECSCU winter meeting will focus on "takeaway talks" focused on how leaders function as change agents and galvanize teams around initiatives and projects.

Board members will facilitate two "takeaway talks" focused on these current, pressing issues:

  1. Leading Large Scale Curricular Change within educator preparation programs: how to communicate with disparate groups (content faculty, governing boards, accreditations, legislative groups, K-12 stakeholders, EPP) to reimagine programs to fit current requirements and hour totals
  2. Leading in Turbulent Times: how to handle difficult conversations with people within and outside your organization, leading with empathy and grace, facilitating civil discourse
